EXIMBANK Brand

The unique look of the logo   is related to the origin of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group logo.

Usually and easily recognizable elements of the visual part are represented using the inscription (font “Trajan”) and the color (green) of the parent bank, which is preceded by a color logo in the form of a square (aqueduct) as a powerful element that indicates belonging to the Group.

The Intesa Sanpaolo brand captures the history and values of the two main actors in the Italian credit sector - Banca Intesa and Sanpaolo IMI, who decided to join forces and resources to create the largest banking group in Italy and one of the largest in Europe.

Immediately after the merger, a unique and exclusive visual style was created for the entire Intesa Sanpaolo group. All banks and companies that are part of it have changed their image, aligning with the identity of the parent company, thereby strengthening their membership in the Group.

Having joined Intesa Sanpaolo banking group in 2018, EXIMBANK changed its logo based on those elements that enhance the feeling of belonging to the Group.

The font and green color, which together form a token (name), comes from the original identity of the Sanpaolo IMI brand.

The Trayan font, so-called inspired by the Romanesque symbols used on the Trajan's Column, creates a “cut out” image, even if it is simply printed on paper. Trajan is a classic and ubiquitous font, a symbol of security and stability.

The square icon (ideal form, harmonious and balanced) is a stylized drawing of the Roman aqueduct, which brought water to where it was needed, and therefore revived entire thirsty regions. The aqueduct with 3 arches, is a symbol of constancy and development, life and prosperity, comes directly from the Intesa Bank brand. He ideally describes the idea of building bridges and communication between individual companies, independent worlds and various positions. The element best expresses the idea of a merger of the two banks, as well as the values and leadership obligations of the transaction.

Each of the four colors that can be found in the square icon is based on the natural element from which the surrounding world is formed:

  • Orange / red represents the sun, energy;
  • Shades of green represent plants, growth / development and nature;
  • The shades of ocher represent earth, sand, and work;
  • Shades of blue represent air, water and sea
