Closure of inactive accounts for individual and legal entity clients starting May 12, 2026
DEAR CLIENTS,
B.C. “EXIMBANK” S.A. informs about the closure of all accounts of individual and legal entity clients who have not conducted any transactions since December 31, 2024.The actual closure of the mentioned accounts will be carried out in stages, starting from May 12, 2026.
In this context, the Bank informs that balances of legal entity accounts exceeding 350.00 MDL (three hundred and fifty) or its equivalent in foreign currency, as well as balances of individual accounts exceeding 50.00 MDL (fifty) or its equivalent in foreign currency, may be withdrawn until May 11, 2026, inclusive, during business hours at the Bank branch where these accounts were previously opened.All balances from closed accounts of legal entities that do not exceed the amount of 350.00 (three hundred and fifty) MDL or its equivalent in foreign currency, as well as the existing balances of individual accounts, exceeding the amount of 50.00 (fifty) MDL or its equivalent in foreign currency will be retained by the Bank as an account closure fee, in accordance with the Bank's current tariffs.
In this context, EXIMBANK asks clients to visit the Bank branch where their accounts are managed, or legally authorize another person, to close their accounts and withdraw existing balances. Alternatively, clients may provide in writing the bank account details to which the remaining balances should be transferred. If no action is taken by May 11, 2026, the Bank will transfer the balances of clients’ accounts to internal accounts, managed according to the Bank's current tariffs, while awaiting further instructions.
The Bank also informs clients that closed current accounts will no longer be usable.
